No show or tracklist again this week as DJ Tokyo once again kindly agrees to take over hosting duties.
Month: February 2014
This special Valentine’s Day episode has me channeling my inner Venus Flytrap, playing nothing but heartfelt jams for all y’all so inclined.

No show or tracklist this week as DJ Tokyo took over things for me.
Kicking it off pretty mellow tonight, and slowly upshifting into some house before hitting the brakes just in time for the end of the show.

Started it off tonight with some nice future funk before dropping back into some hip hop and funk. I should take a moment to correct myself and tell you that Steve Arrington was neither a bassist or guitarist. Don’t know where that came from… Anyways, moving on – After that dropped a few love tracks before jacking up the tempo into some drum’n’bass for the last bit of the show.

Uncharacteristically, DJ Tokyo didn’t turn up for his show this week, so I ended up doing a takeover. Little did I know at the time, but he was in a hospital in Winnipeg recovering from a freak flu. Thankfully he managed to get through it rather quickly. Nonetheless, it let me drop a bunch more tracks than I was thinking I had time for. I took advantage of the extra time to rip through a whole bunch of slightly older tracks that were gathering a bit too much dust back at the lab.

House to Hip Hop this week. Started it off with a classic house track from back in the day, one that’s near and dear to my heart. Then just kept it rolling…

Really like the flow of this show. Kicked it off with some disco jams for a funkin’ good time before rolling through some midtempo breaks. Then hit you up with some hip hop and new joints from around your way.
