Geez. Super frazzled show to cap off a super frazzled day . I was already running late, and when I finally got to the station, I realized I’d forgotten a pretty important piece of the modern djing puzzle back at home. Once I wrapped my head around the keyboard shortcuts, I tried to make the best of it with a bit of hip hop.

My lovely co-host this week is none other than Alice, one-time host of Meow Mix right here on CJSW (before she moved out of town that is). Long time listeners may even recall that Alice did her CJSW on-air training on the fat beat diet many moons ago, and we couldn’t be happier to have her back on the show spinning a set.
A tribute to Issac Hayes.
Last Saturday at The Spread, someone requested some Underworld. Being the obliging DJ, I decided to indulge and play the request. It was pretty late in the night and Underworld isn’t exactly the usual fare for the Spread, so let’s just say that most people weren’t feeling it and consequently, I mixed out of the song pretty quick. Kinda made me sad really, because I’ve been a big fan of Underworld since my buddy Peter hepped me to ’em way back when on a Wax Trax compilation . Luckily, I get to indulge myself on this little radio show and play whatever strikes my fancy at the moment…
I was at the Roots show, so I pre-recorded the show for tonight — just a collection of mixes, really… Mostly other people’s at that. We start of with a snippet of some vintage Fat Beat Diet, and then follow with a mix from DJ Jazzy Jeff and one from cut-up legend Steinski.
